Russell "Rusty" Zumwalde

Russell "Rusty" Zumwalde, 59, of Greendale, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2019. He was born October 9, 1960 in Cincinnati, Ohio, son of the late Norbert and Mary (Schlueter) Zumwalde. Rusty enjoyed grilling, cooking, throwing darts, and playing cards. He loved music and being outside with his dogs Pearl and Aja. He is survived by his mother, Judy Zumwalde of Dunedin, FL; loving wife, Sheila Marie Larson-Zumwalde of Greendale, IN; 3 sons, Nicholas (Jessica) Zumwalde of Greendale, IN, Kyle (Brandy) Zumwalde of Friendship, IN, Gabe (Nikki Baker) Schave of Greendale, IN; daughter, Erin (Rob) Moorman of Greendale, IN; brother, Michael (Christine) Zumwalde of Glasgow, KY; 3 sisters, Patti (Chip) Saddler of Cincinnati, OH, Lori (John) Schlachler of Cincinnati, OH, Susan (Bob) Rekers of Port Richey, FL; sister-in-law, Carol Volk of Greendale, IN; 8 grandchildren, McKayla Zumwalde, Lilly Zumwalde, Isabela Zumwalde, Layla Zumwalde, Danalee Zumwalde, Atticus Zumwalde, Ryan Moorman, Erika Moorman; and several nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his father, Norbert Gerald Zumwalde. Family and friends will be received on Saturday, December 14, 2019 from 2 pm to 4 pm at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home, Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 4 pm. Contributions may be made to the Hospice of Southeastern Indiana.
